Farmington School District's Family NightFarmington School District Family Night

Rotarian Tom Severson reads to students attending the Farmington School District 's Family Night for students who are English language learners. The Farmington Rotary Club sponsored the Family Night event which promoted district literacy efforts and included a pizza party, activities and a resource fair for parents. Each student was given several books to take home so that they could practice and improve their reading skills.

Rotary Fast For Hope 2007
Between February 8 and March 15, 2007, Farmington Rotarians collected their spare change to “throw their money in the well” – a project to provide funding to drill wells for safe drinking water for the people of Haiti. The goal was to raise $500 in one month – about $20 per Rotarian.

As of March 15, 2007 we met - and exceeded - our goal!   Total raised as of 3/15/07: $570.34

What is the aim of Fast for Hope?

-Raise Rotarian awareness of the World beyond our borders

-Raise money while rewarding Rotarians with the experience, however briefly, of deprivation endured by most of the world’s population

-Perform one BIG project to make a difference in the state of humanity somewhere in the world.
