The Rotary Club of Farmington has a proud history of working with area students and youth. We maintain an open door policy to welcome students at our meetings. The club has identified the you in the Farmington area as one of the primary service opportunities. In particular, with a vision emphasis on youth at risk.
Students of the Month
We have a proud tradition honoring a student monthly for theri excellence in exemplifying the Rotory motto, Service Above Self.
Scholarships
We have awarded over $27,000 in scholarships in 6 years, not just to students with good grades, but to students seeking further education that exemplify the Rotary motto, Service Above Self.
STRIVE
A program for high school seniors who have faced obstacles that inhibit their success in school. Rotarians are matched with a student to mentor them their senior year. The goal is not to tutor, but to encourage and foster Rotary guiding principles t help the student succeed beyond high school.
Sponsored Programs
Rotary Club of Farmington sponsors quality youth programs int eh Farmington Area. These include Park and Recreation Youth Scholarship Program and Community Education Scholarship Program.
Interact
Interact is a Rotary Club for students 14-18 years old. While Rotary Club of Farmington has not sponsored an Interact club to date, we will continue to pursue this service opportunity with our students and youth. |
