Club Assembly
There has to be a better name then Club Assembly right.  I mean we are a club and the technical term for Assembly is correct but it feels so... blah.  When we get together,it feels more like a rally.  The energy in the room is electric when we start getting our heads together to move our club forward and look for ideas to better our community.  I move to change the name to Club Rally... do I hear a motion to pass?

This week is Club Rally!  It is a great time to come together and focus on what we are all here for... doing great things for our community.
A Look Inside The Board
It has been a little while since I have been able to post A Look Inside The Board.  Mother Nature had different plans for us in March but in April, she gave us a pass.  Here is A Look Inside The Board.

Semisonic put it well when they said: Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end (Must be my inner 14 year old coming out in me).  Another Rotary year is quickly coming to an end. It feels like we were just welcoming in Shannon as our President and soon we will be ushering in the year of Jay.  The framework is being set for Jay's Board.

Not only is Rotary starting a new year soon but Rotary on a whole is looking at the way business as usual has been done and saying "What is right for your club?"  Jay had attended the President Elect Training in March.  One of the main topics was having flexibility in how the club is ran and making necessary changes to make each unique club work the way they see fit.  One of the big items talked about in relation to flexibility at The Board meeting was not having a meeting to just have a meeting which I feel we all can get behind.  More on this to come at a later date.

RJ update:
  • Sponsorships are at a slow clip right now (around $32,500 committed and $4,500 currently collected) but with the work being done by the sponsorship team and everyone keeping their eyes and ears open for opportunities, we will kill it this year
  • To date we have sold $370 VIP's and 587 GA tickets along with $200 in raffle tickets sold
  • Please bring in your raffle ticket stubs and money each week from here on out - Community groups will be getting their tickets soon - get your 20+ sold before you have to compete with them!
  • Concert announcements on K102 will begin 5/29 and run on specific dates up to RJ
  • Line up for Friday and Saturday is almost solidified - super excited for a couple of the artists this year :)

Dew Days:
  • We absolutely killed it last year at Triple B (I am still going with this name.... just rolls off the tongue) and because of that we are doing it again.  Get your selling shoes on for Triple B (Beers, Brats and Bingo)!
Updates:
Enjoy your Rotary friends while having fun and doing good in the world. Check out the following updates:
October 3rd meeting brings back our Students of the Month!  Please try to arrive on time.

We will be having a Ramble Jam wrap up, the RJ COmmittee met this morning and we will be issuing
checks to the community groups totalling $25,000.  We are hoping to present these checks to the groups
at a FHS Football game on Wednesday the 16th to garner some exposure for the Club and Ramble Jam!
