Alisha with Caring Hearts in Action
Can you feel that Spring is in the air.  Many people are going on wonderful vacations to warm climates and sand between their toes (I am super jelly by the way :)). Others are pulling out their shorts and putting on crocs with socks (Love me some crocs with socks).
Unfortunately there are those in our community that are looking for some of the more basic essentials in life.  That is where Caring Hearts in Action comes in.

Here is a little bit about who they are, what they do and where they are looking to go in the future:

We have been a 501c3 since January of 2018. However, we started in my garage in October of 2017. We have grown substantially and now have the rented space you toured. Our main mission is to "Care for our neighbors, one person at a time. Because everyone deserves the basic essentials in life." We have the free clothing closet, pantry & toiletries for anyone living in Dakota, Rice, Goodhue & Scott counties. They can come shopping 1x every 3 months. We do work with other nonprofits such as The Drawer, Loaves & Fishes, NAH (Natives Against Heroin), The Table (now closed), HEART Warehouse, 360 Communities, Dist. 192 & 197 social workers... etc. We plan to partner with anyone who has the same mission and goals as us.

Our long-term goal is to expand into a warehouse and have a paid staff & programming to help the community. We are currently working on how we will obtain these goals and our 5-year plan.

Updates:
Enjoy your Rotary friends while having fun and doing good in the world. Check out the following updates:
October 3rd meeting brings back our Students of the Month!  Please try to arrive on time.

We will be having a Ramble Jam wrap up, the RJ COmmittee met this morning and we will be issuing
checks to the community groups totalling $25,000.  We are hoping to present these checks to the groups
at a FHS Football game on Wednesday the 16th to garner some exposure for the Club and Ramble Jam!
