A big THANK YOU to Jenna for being our president this past year!! She successfully pulled off two Dew Days celebrations and had a baby! This year we got back to fully in-person meetings and were able to bring back STRIVE. We honored students for most of the school year and started senior of the month this summer. Up next at the helm, is Barb with TJ being the president elect.

July 9th - PBS-TPT Hero Elementary Celebration
Join Fur Blur from PBS-TPT’s Hero Elementary for a day of play, games, reading, friends and more. Join kids and families to work together, be creative and have fun. Presented in partnership with the Metropolitan Library Service Agency and PBS-TPT. Geared for youth ages 3 and older with their caregivers. Siblings welcome. Learn more at www.tpt.org/learn. This event will take place offsite at Rambling River Park, 17 Elm St, Farmington.
PBS hasn’t told us how many activity stations they are setting up, so I think only THREE Rotarians should be enough folks to help out with crowd control and helping at activity tables. Event runs 9:30 – 11:30 this Saturday, July 9th. (arrive between 8:30 and 9:00; cleanup done by noon, I hope.) Please email Barb if you plan to help. And THANKS VERY MUCH for participating!!
Next Week - Laurel Schell - Amarok Society
Laurel Schell has been volunteering with Amarok Society since learning about the organization in 2019. She has been involved with content development, social media campaigns, and communications. Besides her work for Amarok Society, Laurel is a doula and childbirth educator, and an advocate for accessible and affordable birth support for all women. She is also an actor, writer, and theatre creator, who has performed on stages across Canada.
