Mary Rethwisch is our Farmington Food Shelf Volunteer of the Year!
Mary has made an incredible impact at the Farmington Food Shelf through her dedication, kindness, and hard work.
A lifelong helper, she grew up on a Wisconsin dairy farm as the third oldest of 14 children, spent her career as a special education paraprofessional, and has called Farmington home for the past 50 years. Married for 52 years next month, with three children and seven grandchildren, she is always ready to lend a hand.
Whether she’s expertly sorting donations, assisting families as they shop, or simply bringing joy to everyone she works with, she is a valued member of the Food Shelf’s team of 60 volunteers.
The Farmington Food Shelf serves approximately 50 families each week with non-perishable food item along with fresh veggies, meat and dairy items. To learn more or support their mission, follow the Farmington Food Shelf on Facebook!
