We honored 3 students!
- Emma Moorman, 5th grader from Riverview Elementary
Emma was an easy choice for this honor by her teachers and school admin. She is described as an amazing role model, kind and honest with a great sense of humor. She is always willing to help in and out of the classroom. She is active with school patrol, dance, gymnastics, track and field, and was in the school play last year. Her friends and her enjoy picking up trash in her neighbor. Emma enjoys reading and writing and is currently writing a fantasy novel. She wants to be a teacher and an author when she grows up. She has one younger brother and proud parents who say she is an awesome kid and fun to parent and guide through life.
- Aritzel (Ari) Flores Cortes, 8th grader from Dodge Middle School
Ari is known for her big smile and welcoming demeanor. She is described as kind, helpful, hardworking and willing to go above and beyond. She is active in Tiger Connection, a WEB leader and mentors 6th grade students. She says she loves school and likes joining clubs and activities and enjoys meeting new people. She was the host of the Dodge Middle school talent show and joined club volleyball this year. She wants to help people as a career like a doctor or nurse but mentions she is not a fan of blood. Her parents are so proud of her and excited for her future.
- Nyah Washington, Senior from Farmington High school.
Nyah's school councilor says she is a true gem and they are lucky to have her at FHS. She is a spark of joy, helpful and a hard worker. She has been a captain of the gymnastics team for the past three years and this year joined the track team. She has made tie blankets for the past few years for the Children's hospital. Next year she is going to Centenary College in Louisiana where she will be going gymnastics and studying kinesiology and pre-med. Her mom was with her today and is very proud and has loved watching her succeed.
