Lisa Lusk - 360 Communities
This year we are starting our speaker off with Lisa Lusk from one of our favorite organizations - 360 Communities

Lisa Lusk joined 360 Communities in May of 2008. Lisa is the Director of School Success and oversees the Partners for Success Program, Dakota Healthy Families and Child Care Aware. Lisa spent ten years teaching elementary and special education as well as three years working with families to coordinate and manage Personal Care Assistant Services for children and adults with disabilities. Her experience and strengths involves working with a variety of children and families to promote educational, social and emotional success and stability. Lisa has an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Luther College and a master's degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas.

Please join me in welcoming/re-welcoming Lisa to Farmington Rotary (I am pretty sure she has been a guest to one of our meetings since I have been here :) )

P.S.  with the switcharoo with SOM this week, Lisa may not be able to make it.  Do not fret though... Janie has assured me she will come up with the most fun meeting ever!  I may be making that up... or am I... Hmmmmmm

Giving Totals for 2018
I have been holding onto this information for a little while now... trying to figure out the best time to spread the news.  The end of the year is approaching and it seems fitting to give the news.

For 2018 we have given back an astonishing $61,203!

Here is the list as of Mid-October which does not account for almost $30,000 we were able to give back to community groups for their raffle sales.  It is amazing how when a group of like-minded, service oriented individuals get together, the amount of giving that can be done.  And don't forget the countless hours each of you have put into this club with service projects and a multitude of items that go into being a Rotarian. Way to go group!

Meeting hosts
A reminder to check the meeting host schedule in the sidebar of The Source to learn when you are scheduled to serve. Each Rotarian serves as a meeting host one month of the year and is responsible for working with your co-host(s) to do the following:
  • Schedule speakers for your month
  • Arrive early to set up
  • Give the meal count to the kitchen
  • Stay late to take down
Please review the meeting host responsibilities for complete details. Contact Janie if you have questions or a conflict with the month you are assigned.

Thank you Sara, TJ and Lori for being great meeting hosts for December.  Leshia, Ann and Krysia ... you are starting off the 2019 calendar year and the half way point of the Rotary year with hosting duties.
