DEC. 10 MEETING: Rotary Foundation
Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Rotary Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing and sustainable projects, both here and around the world. Join us on Thursday as our own Sara Butruff, a member of our district's Foundation committee, shares how we can help transform the world we live in. If this sounds familiar, it's because Sara was scheduled for last week (Dec. 3) but couldn't make it, so lucky us, she agreed to present this week!

If you haven't already done so, please update your calendar with THIS NEW LINK. The meeting ID is the same – 770 579 8084, but the passcode is new – 827537.

And if all else fails – or you prefer – you can call in to 1-312-626-6799. I don't know if you really need the 1 on front, so be prepared to test it and be surprised!
A Voice for the Voiceless
If you missed it last week, please take time to watch A Voice for the Voiceless, presented by Stacy Schaffer, a member of Rotary District 5180 and founder & executive director of the 318 Project, which educates, advocates and raises awareness about human trafficking. Nate will lead a discussion on Thursday about how Farmington Rotary can help disrupt the human trafficking status-quo.
HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS
  • In lieu of this year's senior holiday luncheon, we will assemble and deliver about 125 gift bags to our senior citizens. Wendy's intrepid Premier Banks staff will assemble the bags, though we'll need all Rotarians to help deliver the bags in town. Email Wendy if you can help.

  • Changes to meeting dates:
    • Farmington Rotary will not meet on Dec. 24 & 31. Enjoy the holidays with your family!
    • The December board meeting date is changed to Wed., Dec. 16 from 12-1:30 p.m. on Zoom
LET'S EARN $15,000!
Thanks to Old National Bank, Farmington Rotary could win $15,000! Visit their website every day between now and Dec. 17 to vote for Farmington Rotary Foundation. Each of us can vote once per day. Once the votes are tallied, the top nonprofit vote getter in Farmington gets $15,000. Enter your email address, add Farmington Rotary Foundation to the nonprofit field, confirm you are over the age of 18 and that's it. Enter every day!
TELL YOUR ROTARY STORY
Farmington Rotary is important. But why? Why are YOU a member of this club? Barb suggested that some regular Facebook and website posts from each of us about our "Rotary why" is a great way to promote the club, engage current members and bring in new members. Submit your "why" to Barb. No technology skills necessary!
BOARD MEETING RECAP
Your board of directors met Nov. 18. Get the meeting minutes here. These are preliminary for now and will be approved or amended at the December board meeting.
