We honored 3 students last week!
- Hailey Page - 5th grader from Farmington Elementary
Hailey was a popular choice when asked by teachers and school leaders to pick a student for this honor. She is described as an awesome student and a trustworthy and loyal friend. Hailey enjoys running cross country and track, she helps with patrol and also volunteers teaching 1st graders at school. She is excited to go to middle school next year and wants to be involved in student government with potential being the president. She has one younger brother and was joined today by her mother and father. She says she wants to be a business owner when she grows up.
- Riley Pflaum - 8th graded from Boeckman Middle School
Riley was also a popular choice when asked by leaders and teachers at his school. He is described as kind hearted, respectful, creative and a stand out in the classroom. Teachers admired his ability to do the right thing even when no one is watching, support his peers and be the bright spot in everyone's day. Riley says he enjoys learning and is excited to go to high school next year. He is from a farm family with his 3 siblings. He enjoys planting. He is unsure what he wants to do when he grows up.
- Joseph Alem - Senior from Farmington High School
Joseph again was a popular pick for student of the month. He was the most surprised to receive this honor. Joseph is helpful, honest, authentic, responsible, kind and hardworking. Teachers and counselors described his smile as contagious and he is a joy to have in class. Joseph was joined by his mother today. He has two younger siblings. Next year he is going to Iowa State to study civil engineering. Outside of school he works a lot at Whiskey Inferno/Minnesota Burger Co and tries to hang out with friends and family.
